Care Form – With all of our unaccompanied events we need you to complete this All About Me form to enable us to have as much up to date information about your young person . If you have not completed one in the last 6 months or have an update for us, we would be grateful if you could please complete this as soon as possible so that we can contact you if we have any questions FILL IN NOW
Here are some FAQs from the team about our trip:
Getting there
Some are meeting in Maidstone at 9am and leaving by minibus at 9.15am to Tonbridge
Some people are meeting at the Tonbridge Family Hub at 9.45am.
We will all get on the 10.31am train to Hastings.
Other people are meeting in Tunbridge Wells Station at 10.20 and will get on the same train at 10.41am. We will all arrive in Hastings at 11.30am
When we are in Hastings
We will be in Hastings from 11.30am and 5.30pm.
What we can do in Hastings
• Arcades (you will need cash for this)
• Rides, trampolines (you will need cash for this) need a picture
• We will go to the beach – we won’t be swimming but you can have a paddle!
• Fish and Chips / Sausage and chips –included in
the price
• One game of crazy golf at Hastings Adventure Golf – included in the price
• Miniature Railway ride- included in the price
• Blue Reef Aquarium – included in the price.
Please be aware that some areas of the aquarium are kept dark for animal welfare
Will it be busy?
- As a Saturday and in peak season it may be busy.
- We will have a base where you can relax on the beach if you don’t fancy doing any of the activities
- We have booked space at the aquarium and adventure golf, but it won’t be just us
- We will have ear defenders available if you find the noise difficult.
- You can bring you own foldable chairs to sit on the beach if you wish, but you must be able to carry them yourself.
- Please bring a towel if you want to have a paddle in the sea.
Who is going?
Staff-wise we have staff and volunteers there to support you including Fiona, Hayley, Zoe, Jo, Kiera, Cam, Katy, Dee, Andie, Sharon and Tom – lots of familiar faces! One young person has a parent/carer coming with them.
Everybody else coming is 18+ and most are attending our Universe Groups in Maidstone, Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells.
How Much is it?
We are offering you a ticket and coach travel for £30, massively subsidised by fundraising by Jack our Marathon Man. Your ticket includes the train ticket, aquarium, miniature railway, crazy golf and lunch. It does not include drinks and snacks, arcades or fairground rides. Please bring cash with you as most of these extras won’t take cards
Getting home
We will get on a train back from Hastings at 5.30pm. We will arrive back in Tunbridge Wells at 6pm then Tunbridge Wells at 6.15. Those going back to Maidstone will get on a minibus and be back by 6.45/7pm.
