Please note that since the Covid-19 lockdown started, Space 2 Be Me stopped its face 2 face support groups, clubs, events and holiday activities. We have been working hard to adapt and stay in touch with our families. We now have a range of virtual support groups, clubs and family challenges. Our family support service is still available via telephone and firstname.lastname@example.org for parents and carers. Please email us on email@example.com to find out more
WE CARE. WE LISTEN. WE EMPATHISE. WE RESPOND. WE EMPOWER.
Space 2 Be Me was set up in 2011 by a group of parents to support families in Maidstone with disabled children who wanted to access local advice and support.
Space 2 Be Me continues to be a parent led charity; the majority of our Trustees are parents of children with disabilities.
We have a growing membership of families and it is important to us that we continually check with our families that we are delivering or planning to deliver the services and activities that they need the most. We carry out a formal survey every year and regularly consult with parents informally about our work. We now have a young person who consults with the children and young people who attend our clubs, so that we get the children’s view point too.
As a result the service provided by Space 2 Be Me has evolved and grown over the years.

How we can help
We provide activities and services that children, teenagers and their parents & carers tell us they need.
We exist to help families have a place where they can feel and be themselves – and we want staff that have the right values, personality and beliefs that help us do that.
Volunteer with us
Volunteering can be a great way of developing new skills, experiences and helping other families.
Working in Partnership
We are proud members of TOTIUS – a group of 4 parent-led charities in Kent.
